The Sensor Unit
The wrist-mounted sensor unit has two small Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensors attached, which are worn on the fingers. Tiny changes in sweat levels are recorded which measure changes in the participant's engagement levels as they watch a piece of media.

The Mobile Solution
Smartphones or tablets, according to client need, come pre-installed with the Sensum app. Two-way wireless transmission of media, survey questions and test data allows tests to be performed outside the lab and results to be viewed remotely. Master sync controller capability allows the client to control the beginning and ending of sessions from the dashboard. The app captures audience demographics and traditional survey responses; media can be streamed on- or off-device.
The Dashboard
Data from the sensors and app is uploaded securely over the cloud to a secure, customisable dashboard for analysis and reporting. Sensum uses a bespoke video player to provide video-graphing playback of session results. Tools such as ‘key moment’ markers, standard deviation graph display, demographic filtering for additional graphing lines offer quick-glance means of making sense of the physiology data captured for full sessions, and can be drilled down to individual user responses. At a glance, clients can visualise where audience emotions peaked, and comparisons of different demographics against the session average can be displayed and exported for reports and further analysis.
